Payment Flow & Escrow Policy

This page explains how payments are processed on Warm Nest Enterprise for marketplace purchases, events, and mentorship bookings.

1. Payment Processor

Warm Nest Enterprise uses Paystack to process card and other supported payments. Payments are collected into Warm Nest Enterprise’s Paystack merchant account.

2. Marketplace Purchases (Escrow / Hold & Release)

When a buyer purchases an item or service on the marketplace:

  • The buyer pays via Paystack and the funds are received into Warm Nest Enterprise’s Paystack account.
  • Warm Nest Enterprise places the payment on hold (escrow-style) while the seller fulfils the order.
  • The seller must provide shipment tracking (where delivery applies) or proof of fulfilment for services.
  • Once the buyer confirms receipt/completion, Warm Nest Enterprise releases the funds to the seller.
  • If the order is not delivered or a dispute is upheld, Warm Nest Enterprise may refund the buyer according to the Refund & Dispute Policies.

Warm Nest Enterprise’s role is to reduce fraud and ensure fair outcomes by only releasing funds after confirmation.

3. Seller Payouts

Seller payouts are released after delivery confirmation. To receive payouts, sellers may be required to provide verification details such as:

  • Valid contact details and business/seller profile
  • Banking details for payouts
  • Additional verification documents where necessary (for fraud prevention and compliance)

Payout timing can vary depending on delivery confirmation, dispute checks, weekends/public holidays, and verification requirements.

4. Events Bookings

Payments for Warm Nest Enterprise events (hosted by Warm Nest Enterprise) are treated as service payments for our own offerings. Funds are not held for third-party fulfilment unless explicitly stated for a specific event.

5. Mentorship Bookings

Payments for mentorship bookings follow the terms displayed at checkout and are processed via Paystack. Where mentorship is delivered by Warm Nest Enterprise or its approved mentors, the payment is treated as a service payment.

6. Transaction Fees

Paystack processing fees may apply to transactions. Where applicable, the platform may include these fees in the checkout total or deduct them according to the configured payment settings.
